YOUTUBE REVENUE GUIDE

How much can 1 million YouTube views earn?

Views alone do not determine YouTube earnings. The simplest calculation is views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. The table uses three illustrative RPM assumptions to explain the formula, not claimed actual averages.

Before you start YouTube defines RPM as revenue per 1,000 views. Actual RPM varies by channel, audience, content, and period. For your own channel, use your actual YouTube Studio RPM.

Revenue examples for 10,000 to 10 million views

ViewsRPM 1,000 KRWRPM 3,000 KRWRPM 5,000 KRW
10,000 viewsAbout 10,000 KRWAbout 30,000 KRWAbout 50,000 KRW
100,000 viewsAbout 100,000 KRWAbout 300,000 KRWAbout 500,000 KRW
1,000,000 viewsAbout 1,000,000 KRWAbout 3,000,000 KRWAbout 5,000,000 KRW
10,000,000 viewsAbout 10,000,000 KRWAbout 30,000,000 KRWAbout 50,000,000 KRW

For example, 1 million views at KRW 3,000 RPM gives 1,000,000 ÷ 1,000 × 3,000 = KRW 3,000,000. At KRW 1,000 RPM the result is KRW 1 million; at KRW 5,000 RPM it is KRW 5 million.

Why the same 1 million views can earn different amounts

RPM can reflect ad demand, viewer countries, topic, video length, and seasonality. YouTube also explains that RPM may include YouTube Premium, memberships, Super Chat, and other revenue recorded in YouTube Analytics, not just advertising.

Calculate 1 million Shorts views separately

Shorts Feed and Watch Page advertising use different revenue-sharing structures. Applying long-form RPM to Shorts can substantially distort the estimate. Use the YouTube Shorts Revenue Calculator for a separate calculation.

What if I do not know my channel's RPM?

If you are already monetized, use revenue and views from the same period in the RPM Calculator to calculate RPM. Another channel's actual RPM is not public, so an outside service cannot determine its exact ad earnings.

Curious about another channel's viewing trends?

YouTube Channel Analyzer uses public channel data and a sample of recent videos to estimate monthly views and a revenue range. These are public-data estimates, not actual payouts.
